Amtrak To Host Los Angeles Hiring Event for Chefs and Electricians

LOS ANGELES – Amtrak is hosting a hiring event in Los Angeles on Tuesday, December 12. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Doubletree By Hilton Los Angeles Downtown (120 South Los Angeles Street). Local job opportunities include Amtrak Chefs and Electricians.

Amtrak Chefs: Responsible for meal preparation in the kitchen on board our dining cars. The Chef/Line Cook must have the ability to cook within Amtrak’s existing recipes. Individuals must have 1-2 years of previous experience as a Chef/Line Cook

Electricians: Responsible for the inspection, testing and maintenance of electrical, electronic and HVAC systems in accordance with the FRA and Amtrak standards and guidelines.

When: Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Time:  10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Anyone who receives a job offer will need to complete an onsite drug test. This event is part of a larger Amtrak campaign to hire for new jobs across the country.
