Mariachi Meets The Smiths

Mariachi Meets The Smiths brings the music of the legendary Manchester band to life through the sound and tradition of mariachi.

Presented by the LA Phil, the evening features Mariachi Tierra Mia, performing selections from The Smiths’ catalog with traditional mariachi instrumentation and contemporary arrangements. The program celebrates the enduring cultural connection between The Smiths’ music and audiences in Mexico and Los Angeles.

The evening will also feature a DJ set by DJ Manny Fresco, adding a mix of contemporary sounds and cross-generational music before and around the performance.

About The Ford
