Palm Springs, CA — Movie lovers and cultural enthusiasts are in for a rare treat this holiday season. On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., acclaimed actor, director, and social activist Rob Reiner will take the stage for An Evening with Rob Reiner, a special one-night event celebrating his remarkable life and career in television, film, and public service.
Tickets go on sale November 7 at 12 noon, and this is expected to be one of the desert’s most sought-after cultural gatherings of the year.
Reiner first captured America’s attention with his Emmy-winning portrayal of “Michael ‘Meathead’ Stivic” on Norman Lear’s groundbreaking series All in the Family, a role that made him a household name and a voice for social awareness in television’s golden age. But his creative impact only deepened when he stepped behind the camera, directing an astonishing run of beloved classics — from This Is Spinal Tap and Stand By Me to The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, Misery, A Few Good Men, The American President, Ghosts of Mississippi, and The Bucket List.
Most recently, Reiner directed the Emmy-nominated HBO documentary Albert Brooks: Defending My Life and The End Continues, the much-anticipated sequel to This Is Spinal Tap.
Beyond Hollywood, Reiner has been a tireless political activist and humanitarian. He led a successful campaign for California’s tobacco tax initiative to fund early childhood development programs and chaired the state commission overseeing its rollout. In 2008, he co-founded the American Foundation for Equal Rights, which helped pave the way for marriage equality across the United States.
As part of this special evening, a limited VIP reception will be held before the main event at one of Palm Springs’ most storied landmarks — the Frank Sinatra Twin Palms Estate, offering guests a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to mingle under the stars at Ol’ Blue Eyes’ historic mid-century retreat.
Tickets for An Evening with Rob Reiner are expected to sell quickly.
