GUEST COMMENTARY - I wish to call your attention to what I believe to be the improper noticing of meetings by the City Tourism Commission, especially a detailed proposal to place advertising structures on public sidewalks and parkways. 

IN MEMORIAM - We have all experienced losses in the past few years.

LABOR VIEW - Vin Scully, the Hall of Fame broadcaster, was so adept at painting a picture when describing a baseball game that Los Angeles Dodgers fans sometimes remarked that they didn’t need to see the action on television to know exactly what had happened.

WATER CRISIS - Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) announced today that customers have continued to heed the call to conserve water during this historic drought.

PLANNING WATCH - Even though Los Angeles has experienced an ongoing homeless crisis since the 1930s, it now appears to be worse since it is citywide, not just confined to downtown LA’s historic Skid Row area.

THE VIEW FROM HERE - People do not want to admit that a city can be full in that if more people are added, the quality of life for everyone decreases. 

HOMELESS CRISIS - In April, Juan Carlos Cruz Mora received an eviction notice from his landlord that alleged he caused property damage and dirty, unsafe living conditions in the Sacramento suburb duplex he had called home for the last 10 years.
