THE VIEW FROM HERE - In our Woke society where everyone is divided into two main categories of Oppressors and Oppressees, Gays are about to be re-classified as Oppressors. The first evil of Gays is that we’re all male! Second, the majority of us are White. Most disturbingly, Gays now are more successful than straights. Like Jews, we violate the basic premise of Wokeism: minorities cannot overcome the bigotry of White male culture without the patronage of Wokedom. In a culture were Equality of Group Outcomes is all important and each person’s share of the pie rests on the financial and social outcome of his group, Gays have become heretics. For Wokers, it is axiomatic that the minorities, as victims, do worse than Whites. That’s the entire rationale of Wokeism – the Woke will realign society so that the evil Haves are forced to make reparations to the good Have-Nots. Now that Gays are joining Jews as being more successful than the evil White male oppressors, we Gays have to be re-assigned.
Gays, however, are more subversive that merely being successful males. Gay Rights commits the unpardonable sin of being based on each person’s inalienable right of Liberty. As Justice Kennedy explained in Lawrence vs. Texas, 539 U.S. 558 (2003):
Liberty protects the person from unwarranted government intrusions into a dwelling or other private places. In our tradition the State is not omnipresent in the home. And there are other spheres of our lives and existence, outside the home, where the State should not be a dominant presence. Freedom extends beyond spatial bounds. Liberty presumes an autonomy of self that includes freedom of thought, belief, expression, and certain intimate conduct. The instant case involves liberty of the person both in its spatial and more transcendent dimensions.
Nowhere does Kennedy mention equality, diversity, equity, or inclusion. The Constitutional principle is simple. No person may have his inalienable rights diminished by classifying him into some ascriptive group. Gay Liberty has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with comparing us to some other group.
One source of Woker power is their ability to bully people into showing favoritism to whatever group the Wokers want to promote. Affirmative Action and campus DEI programs rely on numbers to calculate whether a group is properly represented since each Woker group must have the same representation in positions of leadership and power as their percent in society except Blacks may be over-represented, e.g., Los Angeles City Council. No one knows how many Gays there are in the nation! People who are familiar with the Gay community from the inside know that the number is far larger than those who self-identify as Gay. Nor, are there any rules for the grey areas between Gay and non-Gay. What we know is that we are everywhere.
There is one cultural reason that Gays are not overwhelmingly GOP – The GOP party is dominated by two types of bigots: (1) Alt Right who are heavily closeted-Gays, e.g., virtually all neo-Nazis, and (2) religious Fundamentalists, whose leadership is also heavily closeted. Otherwise, Gays would be GOP stalwarts. How the Log Cabin Society remains within the GOP mystifies me.
Gays and especially we Gay Jews have a problem. As Jews we should wake up and realize the idiocy of remaining in a political party which calls for our extermination. People lampoon “Queers for Palestine,” but we Jews are more foolish. We stay in the Dem Party despite its working for our removal from public life and our demise. So far, Wokedom is not calling for the genocide of Gays from West Hollywood to Key West.
When I was but a wee lad in the late 1940's, my mother had a lesson for me. She’d say, “Everyone is a little bit queer, but me and thee, and I am not so certain about thee.” Her point was that when people start classifying others into good vs bad, sooner or later they see everyone as bad except for themselves. This was her way of teaching me about Martin Niemoller.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew. Then they came for the me —and there was no one left to speak for me.
How much longer can Gays support Hamas? If Gays stop with the banners of Gays for Palestine, what happens to their Woke credentials? How much longer can Gay person have personal integrity, while knowingly supporting Palestinians who would joyfully murder them just for being Gay?
Gays and Wokeism Are a Mismatch
Gays who say that their inalienable right to liberty may not be denied based on being Gay and who seek no special treatment are an anathema to Wokeism. It took the worse massacre of Jews since the Holocaust to wake some Jews to the danger of Wokeism. Still, many Jews and most Gays are still in snooze land, unwilling to admit the peril. Gays have too many Woke demerits to remain in good standing: Male, White, Successful – the trifecta of Oppressors.
