Trump Won. Stop Whining And Give Him A Chance

POLITICS

MARK, MY WORDS - Like him or not, Trump won again, decisively and irrefutably. While Republicans deserve a schadenfreudian victory lap, the left needs to remain calm and avoid the urge to overcorrect and reflexively dump on Trump without giving him the chance to move forward with his policies.

Our Government has been dysfunctional for a very long time. Most politicians make empty campaign promises that are never fulfilled once they are in office. This has been the accepted norm for years and has only gotten worse. But Trump has one thing they don’t. The trust and hope of half the nation and the balls to actually try to (…and I can’t believe I am going to repeat this silly phrase) “drain the swamp.”

Most commonsense Americans are sick of the performative BS of our overpaid and underperforming government representatives. Our lobbyist owned congress of puppet sycophants have become nothing more than a bad reality show that we are all forced to not only watch but be cast in.

Any honest Democrats watching the confirmation hearings should be just as embarrassed by their representatives as Republicans should be of some of theirs. Congressional hearings have become nothing more than a grandstanding virtue signaling circus act put on to gain the approval of tired and easily conned voters and the financial support of corporations.

Am I the only one who is offended by the scripted and partisan buffoonery displayed by the members during these confirmation hearings? I find it difficult to watch these proceedings without yelling at my screen in frustration. The character assassination and rapid-fire questioning without allowing the candidate to answer, is designed to confuse the public and obfuscate the truth. It is counter-productive and erodes the public’s confidence in a government.

Presenting a self-designated “yes or no” question and insisting that a “simple yes or no” will suffice, doesn’t make it so. It does, however, make the person posing the question look biased, captured and cowardly. Life is not a multiple-choice test. It sometimes requires an essay answer and that scares congress members. The more the candidate is allowed to speak, the greater the chance they may bring to light uncomfortable facts.

You are entitled to dislike RFK for simply asking that our food and Vaccines be safe but relentlessly labeling him an anti-vaxer only shows your unwillingness to study the history of both RFK and the long history of big pharma practices.

You can pretend that Elon Musk is Trump’s overlord because he was standing while Trump had the self-confidence to sit and allow his DOGE pick to speak during a press conference, but it only shows that you have no real argument or understanding of how a cherry picked video can unfairly implicate ANYONE.

You can keep repeating that Trump is a racist, a nazi and a rapist, but it only shows how committed you are to parrot the propaganda of a failing political party and their captured media mouthpieces.

Am I comfortable with a kid named “Big Balls” working in our federal government? Not particularly, but with “Deep Throat” as a precedent of an off-color moniker, it’s really not that shocking or relevant. I am much more concerned with the billions of tax going to waste than I am the names of the people who will be exposing who stole, lost or squandered the money.

Democrats lost and lost spectacularly. Trump is the President now and hit the ground running. His ideas are only considered radical because our Government has become so dysfunctional we have lost sight of common sense and reasonable expectations. Is anyone on the Left or the Right really going to argue against more efficiency in Government? Really?

RFK has stated on many occasions that he is against the use of vaccinations that contain dangerous chemicals. For God’s sake shouldn’t we all be? There is a long history of dangerous policies and practices within the medical and pharmaceutical industries. That doesn’t warrant the abolition of medicine or vaccines but surely should mandate better practices and real transparency.

How do we do this? We begin by not shooting the messengers who ask tough questions. RFK has dedicated his adult life to litigating against corporations who endanger the public and the environment. Defamatory statements by a few Kennedy family members with vested interests and ties to the Democratic party should not so easily be accepted as credible.

The typical voter lacks the ability to objectively disseminate information, recognize science from pseudo-science and accept that long held beliefs are sometimes wrong. When well established truths are found to be wrong, it is very disconcerting, but truth cannot be determined by emotion. It must be left on its own plain, unaffected by the whims of fools and charlatans, or it is useless.

Commonsense, though no longer so common, is not that difficult to recognize if one is paying attention. It can be seen with one’s eyes and heard with one’s ears. It doesn’t need to be explained by talking heads, so-called experts or politicians. And if it doesn’t make sense, it just may not be true or useful.
