ABE WON’T BE SILENT - On November 6th, the morning after the election—not shocked that Kamala Harris lost to Donald Trump, unlike the depression that set in when Hillary Clinton lost—I woke up and immediately registered as an Independent. There are many reasons why Kamala didn’t pull out the win, and I’m not going to wax poetic as to why not—now. Besides, there's no crying in baseball or over spilled milk.
Rather than place the blame square on Kamala’s shoulders, the truth—and the sad fact—is the far left has hijacked the Democratic Party, and no longer represents my best interests. The word “progressive” used to mean forward-thinking, but now it conjures up a visual—brat packs of loud, radical, privileged, helicoptered, keyboard warriors with participation trophies sporting a disturbing affection for causes they barely understand. These wannabe peaceniks are the polar opposite of peaceniks (circa 1968) because they have been propagandized by their Islamic-terrorist daddies.
I’m infuriated by the rise in anti-Semitism being spewed by this faction of far left, terrorist-supporting, anti-American flag burners, who ultimately—in their maniacal state of delusion—sat out the election and contributed to Harris losing and Trump winning—an outcome that sounds like an oxymoron but reflects the current political climate. Sadly. The silence from so many Democrats have pushed me to the brink of where we are now. I've become a refugee from the Democratic party, yet I still hold certain truths to be self-evident.

If, like me, you’re frustrated by the rhetoric on both sides of the aisle and want to explore independent voices, this is our moment. I refuse spend the next few years whining about what Trump says or does every day because it’s counterintuitive and counterproductive to living a joyous life and surviving the challenge of Trump 2.0.
Seek, and we shall find like-minded souls. Let this be a place to share your views, engage, and try to make a difference. “We can’t and won’t be silent”. There I said it. That’s why it’s been my mantra for years. Surely, there are countless disillusioned Democrats and—I’ll be damned if there aren’t—flocks of little, lost GOP lambs wandering about looking to hold onto something…anything so as not to be swept away by a tsunami of nonsense.
Looking back, it's clear that the "Never Trumpers" of 2016 missed an opportunity to build up the Independent Party platform. By now, imagine how viable that would have been! Instead of creating an impactful alternative, they settled for becoming bloviators on cable news and media influencers—a word that needs to be stricken from our vocabulary along with the actual influencers. Newly homeless Dems can not make the same mistake. It's time to forge something greater—together. Lord knows the Green Party is the ultimate spoiler of anything that represents ‘good’—time and time again. And that creature, Dr. Jill Stein should be sent to Siberia permanently, it is, after all, her home away from home.
What to do? Where to go? I’m not swacked by the Forward Party started Andrew Yang nor No Labels. Remember them? It was not that long ago when they came out of left and right field—a tired collection of collagenous junk—who thought it was a bright idea to stick Joe Manchin in our faces as their great white hope for President against Joe Biden—like he’s a spring chicken. They also carted around Joe Lieberman as part of their dynamic duo. Let’s face it, all the men who were touted in the 2024 election cycle were as old as the hills. Talk about needing to have a finger on the pulse. Literally and figuratively. Hahaha!
I’ve begun researching various alternative groups that speak to indie mindset and will be contacting them and exploring their missions and see how we can learn and perhaps collaborate. Let’s discover ways to look at America’s political system with fresh eyes with groups such as the Independent Voter Project, American Solidarity Party, Unite America Party, and others. Who knew?
So, I’m calling on all lovely Independents, eager to engage in conversation, explore opportunities, discuss fresh perspectives and priorities with emerging candidates to inspire us. Invite your circles. Let’s get real, get smart, and get moving—because the old playbook ain't working anymore. The future isn't red or blue; it's up to us to color it in. JUST NOT ORANGE!
