A VIEW FROM HERE - The one thing on which it seems that everyone agrees is that the American public is polarized. We are learning, however, that neither Wokers nor MAGA have enough votes to win without their attracting millions of Centrists. Hillary lost in 2016 not just because Trump gave voice to the grievances of the Rust Belt Whites whom the Dems had abandoned in favor of Wall Street and minorities, but because Hillary Clinton called the Whites a basket of Deplorable shortly before the election. In effect she gave the middle finger to millions of White voters in swing states who might have voted Dem or at least stayed home. Instead, they rushed out in anger and tipped the vote for Trump in the Electoral College. In 2016, Hillary was in the thralls of what is today known as Wokeism where Whites and Jews are always the villains and minorities are always the righteous victims.
Joe Biden won in 2020 by simply saying that the election was not about Trump’s family or his family but about “your family,” firmly planting himself in the center. Sad for him, within a few months he listened to the horrid advice of Nancy Pelosi and went 100% Woker. Biden had to be removed as the Dem Presidential candidate not because he was mentally impaired, but because he could not gain Centrist votes in the swing states. Fortuitously for the Dems, Biden was non compos mentis during his debate with Trump, allowing the powers-that-be to replace him with Kamala Harris.
The Polarizing Nature of Today’s Voters
When a society becomes polarized, each side jettisons facts and logic in favor of their Narrative. In the GOP, everyone had to spout the increasingly mean-spirited xenophobia of MAGA doctrine, causing it to be more right wing. Likewise, the Left openly supported Hamas and its slaughter of 1200 Jews and others on Oct 7. Then, it came to light that the Wokers had been excluding Jews from Ivy League Schools where calling for the extermination of Jews was OK depending on the context. Then, the public saw that the encampments were not supporting the well-being of Palestinians, in which case they would have been urging Hamas to surrender. No Palestinian would die the moment Hamas, a barbaric terrorist group who uses its own people are human shields, stopped attacking Israel.
The Wokers, however, including the US media and members of Congress supported Hamas with an increasing number of Blood Libels against Israel and Jews in general. Biden turned to character assassination of Bibi Netanyahu insisting that most Israelis wanted the Two State Solution and for Israel to unilaterally stop fighting, but for personal reasons Netanyahu was prolonging the war. Biden’s grandiose falsehood ignored the fact that over 76% of Israel strongly opposed the Two State Solution. As we recently learned, Biden has been supporting the Obama Doctrine and cease-fire negotiations were a ploy to buy time so that Hamas could govern both Gaza and the West Bank as soon as Ismail Haniyeh could gain enough support among West Bank Palestinians.
Both MAGA and Wokeism have become too extreme to win the Presidential election, but someone has to win. The only route to success was obviously by obtaining the votes of Centrists – the fastest growing segment of voters.
Although the GOP had a fantastic convention where they all united in the aftermath of the assassination attempt on Trump, Trump’s mental illness prevented him from staying on script. The second half of Trump’s acceptance speech showed that he was suffering from delusions. Either he believed the absurd falsehoods or he thought people would believe his outrageous claims – in either case, Trump had to be delusional. See Trump’s Shtick Fails
Behind the scenes, Dem shot callers realized that not only was Woke Biden losing, but the Wokers were political liabilities. In June 2024, Woke Rep. Jamaal Bowman’s (D., N.Y.) lost in the Democrat primary and it was clear that anti-Semitic Congresswoman Cori Bush would also lose her primary race, which she did on August 6, 2024. With Wokers supporting Hamas and shouting Death to America, it was clear that Wokeism had become a gigantic liability. The anti-Semitic attacks on Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro while he was under consideration to become Kamala Harris’ VP choice was further evidence, assuming the Dem power structure needed more proof, that Wokeism was the road to defeat in November.
As any rational person had known for many months, the route to the White House and to Congress went through the Center. The new Dem game plan was displayed on August 6, 2024 when Kamala Harris introduced her selection for VP – Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
Gov. Walz Repudiates both MAGA and Wokeism
Pennsylvania Gov. Shapiro was the lead speaker and he gave a rousing endorsement to both Harris and Walz. If Jewish voters were thinking of bolting the party because Harris listened to the anti-Semitic voters, Shapiro was saying the opposite. Pennsylvania is a must-win state and it is clear that Shapiro will be campaigning as hard for Harris-Walz as if it were Harris-Shapiro.
In order to grasp the astounding nature of Walz’s speech one must realize that Wokeism and especially Woke DEI are irrevocably hostile to the individual inalienable right of freedom. Under the Woke Doctrine, individual freedom is nothing but the way Whites oppress Blacks and others. People are not judged as individuals but by the group to which they belong. According to Wokeism, Whites and Jews promote individual Liberty and Freedom in order to oppress everyone else. Woke Harvard’s exclusion of meritorious Jews and Asians was so that it could admit less qualified Blacks. If Asians used their personal freedom to study extra hard and Blacks played basketball rather than do their homework, Asians should be penalized. Wokeism is schizzy when it comes to Asians. Wokers try to recruit them as persons of color; yet, they discriminate against them as if they were Jews.
Gov. Walz, however, made personal liberty-freedom the foundation of the Harris-Walz team! Walz deftly showed what MAGA meant by freedom: “I remember when it was Republicans who were talking about freedom. It turns out now what they meant was the government should be free to invade your doctor’s office. In Minnesota we respect our neighbors and their personal choices that they make, even if we would not make the same choice for ourselves, there’s a golden rule, “mind your own damn business!”
Walz then personalized how MAGA intrude into people’s private lives:
“Look that includes IVF This gets personal for me and my family, when my wife and I decided to have children, we went years going thru infertility treatments, ...” When Walz and his wife, Gwen, finally had a baby, they named their daughter Hope.
Walz continued with the freedom theme.
“When Vice President Harris and I talk about freedom, we mean the freedom to make our own health care decisions and when our children go to school; we mean the freedom not to be shot dead in their classrooms ... For VP Harris, education is to be that ticket to the middle class, not crippling debt — [We mean] air that is clean, water that is pure, communities that are safe, a place where we settle our political differences not by violence but with our votes, and that’s what this election is about. . . While Walz was ostensibly addressing the MAGA crowd, he was also eviscerating the core Woke Doctrine that people are not judged by their individual merit, but by the group to which they’ve been assigned. Woke anti-white racism and anti-Semitism has been replaced by American value of individual freedom. Will this hold after the election? Who knows?
