LACMA presents The Day Tomorrow Began, the first major Los Angeles museum exhibition of artist Tavares Strachan. Featuring more than 20 new works—including his most expansive neon installation and one of his largest sculptures—this immersive, multi-sensory exhibition brings to light histories often erased from mainstream narratives. Curated by Diana Nawi and co-organized with the Columbus Museum of Art, the exhibition is part of The Hyundai Project, a long-term partnership between LACMA and Hyundai Motor Company.
