ORGANIZER: EmpowerLAEmpowerLA invites Neighborhood Council board members and community stakeholders to a virtual interactive workshop focused on understanding and navigating the City of Los Angeles’ annual budget process.
This session will provide a clear, step-by-step overview of the City’s budget cycle, identify key points where community voices can influence outcomes, and explain how Neighborhood Councils and stakeholders can engage effectively throughout the process.
Participants will also be introduced to the Neighborhood Council Budget Advocates and learn practical strategies for meaningful participation during Budget Day in June. The goal is to equip attendees with the tools needed to advocate for essential city services and programs that directly impact their neighborhoods.
This event is open to all Neighborhood Council board members and community members.
Registration is required to receive the Zoom link.
