Editor’s Memo: Canyon of Towers

WORLD WATCH

CITYWATCH TODAY—Tim Deegan’s CityWatch column epitomizes the dilemma faced by Angelenos these days as they watch their neighborhoods reconstructed … without a seat at the planning table. Thousands of you drive the Crescent Heights ‘highway’ daily. It is becoming a ‘canyon of towers.’ Driving through the ‘canyon’ is one thing. Living in or near it is another.

Neighbors want a voice in the process. They feel no one is listening. They are turning to law suits and ballot measures to get City Hall’s attention. Tim paints the picture for you in Today’s CityWatch.

Out on a totally different limb, we’re looking to catch a thief. Someone is stealing Steve Napolitano’s campaign signs. He’s running for County Supervisor against Janice Hahn. A San Pedro resident captured the theft on surveillance video. We’d like you to take a look and see if it’s anyone you know. Not because it’s the day’s biggest news story but … because it’s the right thing to do. Appreciate you help.

All of that … and, more. In CityWatch today.
