Editor’s Memo: Pointing Out the Obvious

WORLD WATCH

CITYWATCH TODAY—Sometimes what we really need is someone to point out the obvious. Hard to admit we can’t see what’s right in front of our face, but reality is what it is. We get some of that kind of help in Today’s CityWatch.

CityWatch columnist Tim Deegan suggests that the church and big business have been MIA on LA’s homeless solutions front.

Joel Fox reminds us of the sometimes embarrassingly limited influence California has at the GOP nomination confabs. Even fewer reasons than usual for that to change this go ‘round in Cleveland.

Schuyler Colfax puts his finger on what DWP ‘reform’ really means. And, George Hofstetter says six months isn’t nearly enough jail time for convicted former LA Sheriff Lee Baca. Turns out, the judge agrees with Hofstetter.

All of this seems obvious I know … but, keep in mind, it is CityWatch that’s pointing it out.

Take a look. Let us know what you think.
