CommentsCITYWATCH TODAY-- The tragic deaths of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile and five Dallas police officers over the past 10 days has produced torrent of public chatter. Most of it meaningless. Finger pointing … “Barack Obama is responsible for the deaths of those Dallas police officers”. Tired clichés … “We have to do better.” Advice from non-experts on who has to be more ‘respectful’ to whom. Not an honest-to-god solution in sight.
CityWatch is posting a think-piece by Zoe Weil because it offers real and meaningful solutions. I hope you will give them serious thought. Then, I hope you will commit yourself to taking serious action on one of the most important issues facing our country. We need more meaningful solutions, fewer meaningless sound bites.

Bob works his way through James Preston Allen’s open letter to City Council President Herb Wesson which … is all about NC reform. The clock is ticking. Has your Neighborhood Council weighed in?
