The crucial fact which Sen. Chuck Schumer withheld from the American people during his turncoat speech calling for the overthrow of the Israeli government was that the Biden Administration was engaged in secret negotiations with Iran where the US would force Israel to surrender to Hamas and in return Iran would stop the Houthis’ attacks on international shipping.
The (Obama) Biden Administration has long supported the terrorist regime in Iran. Weak-kneed appeasement is a foreign policy of idiocy. When Neville Chamberlain declared “peace for our time,” he gave Hitler the green light to invade Czechoslovakia and the rest of Europe. Chamberlain said, “The settlement of the Czechoslovakian problem, which has now been achieved is, in my view, only the prelude to a larger settlement in which all Europe may find peace.” The result was between 75-80 million dead! The (Obama) Biden Administration blindly follows in Chamberlain’s footsteps.
The Secret Democrat Negotiations with Iran
Chuck Schumer’s perfidy is clouded by the fact that he is Jewish and 6 million Jews died in German gas chambers as a result of Chamberlain’s policy of appeasement of Nazis. World Jewry and basically everyone else expects Jewish leaders to be particularly alert to the existential dangers from appeasement of terrorists and Nazis. The fact that Schumer started his speech by declaring his support for Israel was morally obscene. Schumer knew that he was playing out a role in the secret negotiations with Iran to force Israel to allow Hamas to prevail in the war and for Hamas to re-arm to carry out its next genocidal attack on all the Jews from the River to the Sea. Hamas has already publicly affirmed that is their next step. It is not a matter of guessing what Hamas will do.
Prior Appeasement of Anti-Semitic US Wokers
Chuck Schumer’s prior appeasement of the Woker left, especially the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), is little known within the Jewish community. Only a few American Jews realize the extent to which the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the American Jewish Committee (AJC) have supported the rise of Woke DEI policies in universities, business and government including Nancy Pelosi’s elevation of anti-Semites in the House of Representatives. Just as Schumer concealed the current secret negotiations with Iran to sell out Israel, these and other Jewish agencies sold out Jewish students and faculty on American campuses ignoring the slow purge and the ostracization of Jews. Similar to how the German Nazis removed from German education Jews and other Germans who did not toe the racist Nazi group rights agenda, US Wokeism has targeted not only Jews but also honest Black academicians. Thus, Chuck Schumer is a malinche, who has known for years that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s Identity Politics, aka Wokeism DEI, was based on anti-Semitism and being used to drive Jews out of universities, businesses and government. Historically, the ADL and the AJC had based their institutions on the sanctity of inalienable individual rights including Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness as the political philosophy which protected Jews, Blacks, and everyone else. It was bedrock that in America there are no Jewish rights, no Gay Rights, and no Black rights. There are only individual inalienable rights protected by the rule of law.
In his August 1790 letter to the Hebrew Congregation of Newport, Rhode Island, George Washington corrected the congregation’s false impression that government’s toleration had anything to do with the security of Jews. In typically polite language, George Washington chided the Jews for their mis-impression. He wrote, inter alia:
“All possess alike liberty of conscience and immunities of citizenship. It is now no more that toleration is spoken of as if it were the indulgence of one class of people that another enjoyed the exercise of their inherent natural rights, ..” Page 22 A History of the Jews in American by Abraham J. In rejecting the idea that toleration allows Jews to live in America, Washington referred to the fact that the United States was founded on each person’s innate inalienable rights, which were not dependent upon the fleeting goodwill of whoever was in power.
Wokeism Is a Lethal Threat to All Americans
As Pelosi’s Identity Politics and Wokeism’s Group Rights agenda advanced on college campuses in the form of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), these professional Jews in the ADL and the AJC knew the threat which Wokeism posed for everyone but particularly for Jews. Wokeism opposes all individual inalienable rights where a person is judged by his character and not by skin color; rather, Wokeism is the reverse. Each person is treated according to the group which he is assigned: Oppressor or Oppressed. Jews where placed in the Oppressor category while all minorities where designated Oppressed. (Wokeism: Jews = Oppressors ) In order to make a determination in any situation who is right and who is wrong, one looks at the group to which one is assigned: ipso facto Jews, as Oppressors, are wrong and any minority is in the right by virtue of being Oppressed. When a minority person engages in criminal behavior, the fault rests with the Oppressor whose racism forces the minority into criminality.
The Sell out by American Jewish Leaders
Allow me to emphasize, the leaders of the organized Jewish community are not uneducated and they do not make hasty decisions. (I know, as decades ago I was involved in those policy discussions including those based on individual rights vs group rights.) A conscious decision was made to support Wokeism group rights, knowing it was antithetical to basic American values. While Wokeism denies the basic values of America, its impact on Jews is different than the harm which it inflicts on minorities. The propaganda of low expectations that Blacks cannot achieve in racist America has undercut the moral foundations of much of the Black community which was once the American group which most excelled in overcoming. Rather, Wokeism teaches victimization and passivity by individual Blacks and reliance on the government to provide reparations. The threat to Jews in the classification as Oppressors is that there is only one Final Solution to Wokeism’s Jewish Problem – our extermination. The parallel with German Nazism is clear.
The Role of Jewish Community in Wokeism’s Anti-Semitism
Rather than fighting the obvious battle to protect basic American values, to which George Washington had referred, they chose the Chamberlain route. The ADJ and the AJC wanted Jews to be expressly added under the DEI programs! See Jewish Journal, The DEI Dilemma Such cowardice reverted American Jews to the status of being supplicants for a few crumbs from the sovereign’s table. The folly of such approach was apparent. Jewish students and faculty were already included under DEI – as oppressors -- and there was no way Wokeism could allow Jews to escape that designation. The Western world’s most persecuted minority had to be an oppressor since Jews had been wildly successful wherever freedom and individual liberties existed. In order words, American Jews and Israel had to be oppressors or else the entire Woke Narrative collapses.
Why American Jewish Leaders Capitulated so Easily
Abe Foxman (b 1940), former head of the ADL, and David Harris (b. 1949), former CEO of the ADJ, have recently spoken out saying that DEI has to be ended, while the current ADL leader Jonathan Greenblatt supported Harvard’s President Claudine Gay after her statement that calling for genocide of Jews was a matter of context. For generations, the American Jewish community has sought alliances with other groups without supporting group rights. Rather, their historic position was identical to MLK, no individual should face discrimination based upon his skin color, religion, ethnicity, etc since each individual has innate inalienable rights and thus must be judged on the basis of individual character. There is no bridge between individual inalienable rights and Wokeism’s group rights, just as there is no bridge between the right of Israel to exist and Hamas’ goal to exterminate all Jews from the River to the Sea.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s fundamental betrayal has not been of Israel or of the American Jewish community, but of America itself. Now that the cat is out of the bag about the (Obama) Biden Administration’s secret negotiation with Iran to allow Hamas to win in Gaza, one can see that Schumer’s speech was part and parcel of the Administration’s secret sell out of America to Iran. Instead of being forthright with the American people about kowtowing to Iran, Schumer told outrageous lies about Prime Minister Netanyahu, saying that Israelis do not support him, when in fact Netanyahu and his war efforts enjoin overwhelming public support. In carrying out the dictates of Iran, Schumer violated a cardinal rule of American foreign policy – not to call for the overthrow of an ally’s duly elected government. Schumer’s treachery toward’s Israel will be remembered by all the world’s nations just as everyone remembers Chamberlain’s “peace for our time.”
