THE VIEW FROM HERE - Americans are so consumed with hate of the other party that they overlook the fact that in 2024, we have a choice between two authoritarian regimes. The only way an extremist element can rule is by power since consensus is impossible. Both parties are controlled by extremism but of different sorts. The MAGA GOP are cult built around one madman. Most cult leaders have a serious mental illness. The Dem Woke DEI is an anti-American bureaucracy in government, academia and business which doles out positions and power to its own (minorities) and excludes others (Whites and Jews).
NOTE: The difference between Trump’s Histrionic and Narcissistic Disorders is that Histrionics are finely attuned to the crowd and always promise whatever the crowd wants. Narcissists, however, are subject to all consuming narcissistic rages whenever they face personal disagreements or setbacks. Thus, Trump is focusing far too much on his personal vendettas and not enough on what Americans voters want.
Neither the MAGA GOP nor the Woke Dem have the apparatus to impose their agenda on the other part of America. Until Hamas slaughtered over 1,200 innocent Israelis and took about 250 people as hostages, the vast majority of Americans were unaware of the actual danger of Wokeism. Now that America sees that Wokers strongly support the genocide of Jews from the River to the Sea, which includes 100% of present-day Israel, and the Woke are attacking not only Jews in America but Christians for celebrating Christmas, Americans are shocked. The brouhaha surrounding the testimony of the three presidents Ivy League Universities that anti-Semitism is free speech unless it becomes action has kept the Woke DEI culture in front of average Americans.
The 2024 Election will be Authoritarianism vs Authoritarianism
While a lot of unknowns will transpire between now and election day, we can see that these two forces are headed for a collision and there is no clear winner. Trump could easily win, except his Narcissistic Personality Disorder has taken control over his more successful Histrionic Disorder and he is having Narcissistic Rages over (1) the various lawsuits and (2) his electoral rejection in 2020. While hard core MAGA cultists promote Trump’s personal obsessions, they miss the fact that a loss in Ukraine will be a huge loss for Trump in the 2024 election campaign.
The Independents will determine who wins the election and presently Trump is seen as siding with Putin against Ukraine and the United States. The Independents can see that Trump calls the shots in the House and for many Independents Donald Trump will be the reason for the loss in Ukraine. Why is Trump obsessed with Ukraine? It’s a Narcissistic hizzy fit because Zelenskyy did not help him during the 2016 election.
While reality is complex, Ukraine’s most visible foes are Putin and Trump. Americans hate to lose wars and most Independents know that Ukraine is a proxy war involving Putin vs the USA and Western Europe. The public perception of Biden is strongly in support of Zelenskyy and Ukraine.
The complex portion, which probably will not sink in for most voters, is that the House is controlled by Trump after the Woke Dems insisted that the entire Dem Party vote against Rep. Kevin McCarthy to be Speaker of the House. After McCarthy defied Trump and refused to let the economy shut down for failure to pass government funding, the Woke Dems stabbed McCarthy in the back. Once McCarthy was voted out, every other moderate GOP knew that there was no way they could become Speaker as no Dems would support them. Thus, the GOP was faced with the choice of No Speaker with no government business being done or allow Trump to select the Speaker. Thus, we have a Mike Johnson, a far right wing religious nut case as Speaker. Had the moderate Dems ignored the Wokers and gone along with the moderate GOP in order to support Kevin McCarthy, then the two extremes would have been frozen out as McCarthy’s position would have rested on being Centrist where 85% of the votes lay. That’s the main reason the Dem Wokers were adamant that McCarthy not be elected by a moderate GOP- Dem coalition; the Wokers would lose power.
With McCarthy as Speaker, it is more likely than not that Ukraine would have gotten its aid and Israel and Jews in general would not be facing non-stop Woke anti-Semitism. Had Biden intervened in the House vote to re-elect McCarthy, McCarthy would have survived MAGA assaults with Dem support. When it comes to the Woke, however, Biden is a coward and he refused to support McCarthy. He foolishly believes that he needs Woker votes in 2024. His belief is fashioning a self-fulfilling prophesy. By keeping the Woke strong within the Dem party by blocking McCarthy from continuing as Speaker, Biden made the MAGA stronger. By now, Biden should realize that the greatest opposition to aid for Ukraine and Israel actually comes from the Wokers, leaving Biden powerless to move the House against Trump’s whims. By the time, the House votes on Ukraine’s aid that war may have been lost.
The chance of getting aid for Israel is better since Trump is not anti-Israel and no doubt Jared Kushner is heavily involved with Trump and there is the realistic GOP hope for Jewish money in 2024.
Whoever Wins in 2024 Will Have No Mandate
Presently, there is no path to a consensus government. If Trump wins, he has already said it will be an authoritarian government based upon loyalty to him. If the Wokers win, then MAGA will launch a stronger, more viable insurrection. Nice talk does not put down insurrections; only military force works. In other words, if the Wokers win the Presidency, we will have recapitulated the conditions prior to the first civil war.
Who Is the Greater Threat: Trump or Wokers?
No one knows what will happen in the ensuing months. Either Trump or Biden could have a coronary. The GOP could be leaderless or the Dems could be left with Kamala Harris, an anti-Israel, Woker Affirmative Action Presidential candidate. In that case, if the GOP wisely selects a non MAGA replacement candidate for a deceased Trump, the GOP wins the Presidency.
