1) Female staffers at NBC News are complaining they felt pressured to sign the "women's letter" defending Tom Brokaw against sexual harassment allegations. 115 have signed, so far, including many of the female "star" anchors.Megan Kelly cautioned there may be more to this saying. "You don't know what you don't know." What the women signing the letter DID know is, they'd better sign the letter. Basically the letter claimed Tom is a "Saint", or will be, as soon as the paperwork is submitted.
2) For 108 years The Boy Scouts were called The Boys Scouts. Now with girls joining two changes had to be made. First, there will be many more chaperones (guards) needed on all the camping trips. Secondly, is a name change. The new name is Scouts BSA. BSA has always stood for
Boy Scouts of America. Maybe it should be BGSA. Or to ward off any unpleasantness put the G first.
3) How about turning your loved one's ashes into a vinyl record? There is a British company, ANDVINYLY, that will press up to 24 minutes of material into a vinyl record. It costs $3700. I can't figure out why an expensive vinyl record as opposed to a inexpensive CD. It would be really funny when the vinyl record is played the departed says, "Guess what? I left everything to Mr. Whiskers the kitty."
4) It seems every day we hear about lawsuit after lawsuit being filed. The Center For Research and Take-Out asked legendary, not mention renowned lawyer, Sheldon Piranha, how many of these lawsuits are actually successful. He said a majority are utter nonsense and fail unless you're lucky enough to get an idiot judge.
5) Scientists at Genome Project-write plans to work on developing cells that are resistant to viruses as well as freezing, aging, cancer and radiation. I hope they focus on the cells resistant to radiation since they might really come in handy. They claim Ultra-safe cells could have a major impact on human health. They could also have a major impact on the pharmaceutical industry and the medical profession.
