SOUTH OF THE 10 - The man accused of murdering Nipsey Hussle had his trial put on hold today after he wasn’t present in court for unknown reasons.
News outlets are reporting his absence was due to him being attacked.
Eric Holder, 32, was jumped while in custody sometime after he had been transported back to the facility after he left court around 4 p.m. on Monday, a source close to the matter told Rolling Stone.
The extent of Holder’s injuries was not immediately clear, but the magazine reported he sustained “more than a black eye.”
Given the high-profile nature of his case, he is supposed to be kept away from other inmates when he’s transported to and from the court.
Holder faces the possibility of life in prison if convicted.
When court resumes, Holder’s defense is expected to call two witnesses to the stand and take less than a day before closing arguments
