LA City Hall’s Unearned Summer Recess

LOS ANGELES

GUEST COMMENTARY-The LAPD Budget has been slashed by $150 million. Police officers are now trying to figure out their role in protecting and serving the people of LA.

If you were a member of law enforcement, would you risk your life for an uncaring public and politicians who stab you in the back, throwing away public safety funds to some community groups?

The politicians at City Hall are on their “summer recess” right now. But the rest of us are left to question, what’s wrong with this City? Here’s what I think is wrong: our elected officials from the Mayor on down are more concerned with their personal lives than with providing a good quality of life for Angelenos who are paying their taxes.

Homelessness is out of control and getting worse. More money is not fixing the problem.

So, when is the next protest at City Hall? The next riot out in the community?

It’s all bullshit!
