Will the Drain from the High-Speed Train Fall Mainly to Our Gain?

February 14 2019
Written by Kenneth S. Alpern.

ALPERN AT LARGE--Wow! Is Governor Gavin Newsom's brain insane as he pulls the High-Speed Rail train funding down the drain?

Whoa! Is Governor Newsom's tally a sally against President Trump to keep funding for High-Speed Rail in the San Joaquin Valley?

Yikes! Is Governor Newsom's bump against President Trump a political stump, and will the President now be a pain in the governor's rump?

Man! Did Governor Newsom prove the Republicans right when they wanted a fight and tell high-speed rail supports to go fly a kite?

Go figure! Is Newsom a traitor or hater of the train advocates he once sought to cater?

Oh boy! What trail will this alpha-male sail as he nails the rail while eating kale...or is he just doomed to fail?

Homina, homina! Who'd a thunk that the High-Speed Rail Governor Newsom just now opted to have sunk because he thinks it's bunk! Is he drunk? Or just a punk?

Whoo-ee! Does Governor Newsom understand money? Is funding not coming from Santa or the Easter Bunny, and did he just figure out that $100 billion for a single project's just not funny?

(But you get my drift...this announcement is a gift...for those who decry policies spendthrift...while trying to give a balanced budget a lift...!)
