Jeffrey Mausner

Jeffrey Mausner is a retired attorney and law school professor.  He was a partner in a law firm as well as a Trial Attorney for the United States Department of Justice, where he received numerous awards from the Attorney General for his work prosecuting Nazi war criminals.  Link, Link. 

Since retiring in 2012, Jeff has become involved in Animal Welfare volunteer work, including as a Volunteer at the West Valley Animal Shelter; as the animal representative of the Executive Committee of the Valley Alliance of Neighborhood Councils (VANC); and as the Second Vice President of the Tarzana Neighborhood Council and Chair of its Animal Welfare Committee.  Jeff received the 2023 Guardian of the Animals Award from the organization In Defense of Animals for his work to end the dog meat trade, in which tens of millions of dogs and cats are brutally killed each year in foreign countries, as well as his work to save lives and improve the conditions for animals in City of Los Angeles animal shelters.  Link, Link, Link.  Jeff is a co-founder of the Global Anti-Dog Meat Coalition and produced and directed the video for the South Korean National Assembly requesting that they vote to ban dog meat (Link), which they did (Link).
