AN ANGRY ANGELENO - Yesterday, I voted in the now infamous November 3rd 2026 Election. Here are some thoughts; actually, lots of thoughts.
Dean Logan Messed Up
I normally vote by mail. I was too lazy to fill in bubbles, correctly fill out the outside of the envelope so that it would count, and go to a usps counter to get the right postmark, so I decided to actually vote in person on election day, which I hadn't done in years.
I ran an errand at Robertson and Gregory Way in Beverly Hills.
Then, I walked down Gregory Way to La Cienega and the huge Tennis Center there. I had received a mailing from Dean Logan telling me that this was one of 4 nearby voting sites. Surprised, because I used to vote by walking up the hill on Croft Ave to an elementary school to vote...then, I could use the opportunity to buy some marzipan on Melrose to reward myself, and then walk back down the hill.
The 4 sites on the card were Major ones. So, the La Cienega Tennis Center had a long line outside in the sun...no shade for voters. I was reminded that Americans like to wait in long lines, thinking that they validate the choice they've made. I have no desire to get skin cancer, so I decided to leave that site. It occurred to me that of the 4 sites on my mailing, 2 were in BH and 1 was in WeHo, leaving only one in the Massive City of LA, in which I reside. BH and WeHo are small affluent cities with highly educated voters. BH has a lot of conservatives that may choose to vote in person on Election Day, fearing the vast conspiracy of VBM (vote by mail).
I got on the 105 bus going North on La Cienega. It was free because of election day. Why did Karen Bass make it easier for last minute Raman voters to get to the polls? How do we know last minute voters are Raman voters? Because in the Primary, Raman cried on Election night thinking that she lost to Pratt by A LOT, then in the days that followed, the votes coming in helped her shockingly overtake Pratt for 2nd Place.
I was reminded that in my Grandmother's last years, my Mother used to joke that she didn't want to take my Grandma to the polls, because my Grandma's vote would cancel out her vote.
I was going to go to the WeHo Aquatic Center, but I got off sooner, near my home. The City Inspector was coming to reinspect my building...on Election Day! Nice guy, but funny how the City only gives landlords one month to make all the requested repairs, yet gives us an estimate of ONE YEAR to turn the streetlights back on after copper wire theft. Most of the streetlights are off along West 3rd St between Crescent Heights and Robertson, a really long stretch. I live in Katy Yaroslavsky's council district, by the way. We can thank Zev for his endorsement of Paul Koretz, that led to THREE Terms, followed by his obvious support for his daughter-in-law, who is an extremist, a “progressive”, with a SLIGHTLY better record than Council Members Raman, Hugo, and Eunisses. “Katy” voted for more money for cops, knowing that it would be political suicide to vote otherwise. That's the key difference. But that vote, IMHO, was for political survival. Even Nithya flip-flopped on the police in the Mayoral election...simply to advance her political career. She also (partially) flip-flopped on Measure ULA, the Mansion Tax, to make Developers happy, without saying how she would replace the homelessness money that would be exempted. Who knows what she'll do when she's Mayor.
Mayor Bass has the misfortune of running for reelection while all these neighborhoods are sitting in darkness because of the copper wire thieves. But Raman...and Katy...are to blame too. Unfortunately, the voters are ignorant of that. Reminds me of a web ad that I saw blaming Bass for the MASSIVE increase in the trash fee (on the DWP bill) for renters (in primarily small apartment buildings) and single family homeowners. Actually, they gave a worse increase to renters, because our politicians are scared of single family homeowners and HOA's on Election Day. The web ad was trying to help Raman, but Raman voted for the trash fee increase. Why would she not oppose it? Because the majority (actually, almost all) of the city council and the Mayor handed out raises to city employees when they KNEW that the City couldn't afford those raises. I believe that Raman opposed the pay increases to cops, the only ones that should have gotten the raises, because the LAPD raises were necessary for hiring cops in a competitive landscape. Because the City Council and the Mayor pushed forward on a huge expenditure on the Convention Center in Downtown to make the powerful (via involvement at election time) Central City Association, repped by Council Member Tim McOsker's daughter, and the new Progressive Downtown Council Member Jurado happy. Because Raman and other council members (including Katy) supported the Anti-Car Measure HLA, even though it would make Traffic worse throughout the City with Expensive Road Diets for the Bicycle Lobby, aka “Streets for All”, a nice way of fooling the public into believing that they're all about pedestrians and bus riders too. Remember that an unneeded (and damaging, including to small biz) 24-hour (as opposed to Rush Hour Only) Bus Lane is really a very wide 24-hour bike lane. How Expensive is HLA? Three Billion, according to City CAO Matt Szabo. The Firefighter Union opposed HLA because they don't want to get stuck in traffic when they're trying to race through in an emergency. Remember how the Council Members and the City Controller are always complaining about the high cost of Lawsuit Payouts, Settlements, and Liability. Well somehow, they didn't have a problem with HLA creating a right for bike riders to sue the City. I don't remember Controller Mejia opposing it...selective hypocrisy.
Anyway, back to my Election Day Story...I do go off on tangents, but they're interesting and necessary tangents.
Anyhoo, after my building's inspection, I got a ride to the BH Library, another of Dean Logan's 4 suggestions to me. Voting was in a room upstairs, but there was a line ON A STAIRWELL, with old people in it, and the line continued down a long corridor. Eventually, we were told it was an hour long line. Well, you know I wasn't going to stand in that line, so I left. At least it wasn't out in the sun unshaded. There was mention that they were going to set up an additional area outside for voting to accommodate all the people. Why wasn't it already set up, Dean?
Did I mention that this was in the middle of the workday, and the lines were already that long, not yet the after work crowd.
There was also the mention of a nearby church. Which is key. When I left, 2 youngsters asked me who I voted for Governor. I wouldn't say...Becerra opposed Prop 40, the Billionaire Tax...that's all I needed to know about him. Newsom opposed it too...not a surprise since he's friends with and has been politically supported by Billionaires. But the 2 youngsters were helpful. When I mentioned the one hour line, they told me about the church walking distance down the street (Santa Monica Blvd in BH). Why wasn't that on my mailer, Dean? So close, with only a 10 minute wait. There was an annoying young guy behind me in line talking about Raman having an event that was “lit”, which, according to google AI is slang for “exciting, high-energy, fun, or amazing” or “on fire” or “full of life and enthusiasm”. And this is why we have horrible politicians. Because people vote based on charisma, great hair, attractiveness, great speeches, debate performance, and other stupid reasons, in a situation when we have YEARS of Raman's horrible voting record...and stupid things she's said. But, I always used to say that young renters would vote for anti-public safety clowns based on LA Times endorsements (we didn't have them this time). Then when things get ugly where they live (because of the way they voted), they just move.
Examples of Raman being a clown: Essentially saying that she wouldn't move encampments away from schools (she was wearing a clown watch in the video where she said it)...the crowd didn't like that forum answer. The Police Union got too fancy for their own good in presenting it to the public. I saw a web ad with blurry video (why not present the clear video fullscreen?) presented by a child...why not have a COP explain the context and present the video? Anybody that clueless and extreme has no business holding ANY political position. Another time, she famously blamed Toyota for Prius catalytic converter thefts. She also opposes LAMC 41.18, the city law that bans homeless camping in certain sensitive areas. Katy has been almost equally horrible on that point, even going so far as to annoyingly ask how much the 41.18 signs cost. How much do Stop Signs cost, Katy? Perhaps we should get rid of them too. Raman said that as Mayor she wouldn't oppose 41.18 (another convenient flipflop to advance her political career), but she opposed a new 41.18 no camping location in Traci Park's council district just the other day. No wonder most of the other council members dislike Raman.
Back to my Election Day Voting Story...I had to sign a computer screen, so I was careful to sign correctly, worried it might invalidate my vote. I didn't expect a paper trail, but the funny thing is that one is still created! When you're done selecting on the screen, you get to review all your choices onscreen. Then, you PRINT OUT all your choices! Then, you feed that piece of paper into the machine to cast your vote. It was quick, although there was a bottleneck at the table where you check in and get your blank ballot (on which your choices will be printed)...lots of empty voting stations in the room. The other problem was that only some choices appear on the screen. You have to push the “more” button to see the remaining candidates...not really fair. It should FORCE you to see ALL the candidates in each race.
So, I finally voted after doing a lot of walking...and some bus riding. Then, I had to take 2 buses to get back home.
Where's the Mail? Where's the Political Mail?
The day before the election and the day of the election, my building (4 apartments) and neighboring buildings got almost no mail and no political mail. Now, I know what you're thinking...it's a conspiracy. After all, after getting SO MANY political mailers every day, surely they would keep sending them out on the day before the election and the day of the election, right? Don't know what happened there...it's a mystery.
Speaking of those mailers (and the tv and web ads), it's funny (or sad) how the voters are so easily fooled by them. I always look at WHO PAID for the ad...that tells me all I need to know. Years ago, I used to spend countless hours researching how to vote my one measly vote. How often does one vote make a difference? Now, I usually (not this time) vote VERY quickly after I get my VBM ballot. Because the general public is gonna be fooled by the ads and vote the wrong way. It always happens. Speaking of “snail mail” political mailers, do you know why the wealthy Adam Miller (using his own money) did so poorly in the Mayoral Primary? Because he did NOT send out even a single snail mail mailer to peoples' mailboxes. Looked to me like his consultants (I'm assuming he had high priced consultants) took him for a very expensive multi-million dollar ride that hinged on expensive tv ads and billboards as opposed to relatively cheaper snail mail. Did they get a percentage of what he booked? All he had to do was introduce himself to the voters in the mail...didn't happen.
One thing that drove me nuts is the attack mailers on Erickson by an IE (independent expenditure) committee. They did SIX IN A ROW attacking the exact same thing, his vote for Flock cameras in WeHo. Did they do any polling? We're not illegal immigrants afraid of our license plate data going to ICE. The voters are US Citizens, and we live in affluent neighborhoods that are high in property crime. We WANT as many cameras as possible to help catch the criminals. In fact, the Flock cameras just helped catch some criminals in WeHo. If you want to attack Erickson, you do it on his funding (or lack of funding) of the Sheriffs in WeHo...the IE committee clearly knew how to attack that way...they did it at the beginning and end of the campaign. Why did they WASTE SIX mailers IN A ROW HELPING Erickson by highlighting the Flock cameras? I think somebody was sabotaging the campaign from the inside. I've seen it before in other campaigns.
Important People Let Us Down
I was a Pratt supporter in the Primary. The reason the current result is so shocking is that if you take Pratt's percentage and Bass' percentage from the Primary and you add them together, Bass should have easily won. No way would (conservative) Pratt voters support Raman, right?
But what if Pratt supporters didn't vote? Or didn't know about Raman?
If Pratt was a mensch, if he was all about the city and not all about himself, he would have endorsed and campaigned with Bass. Hold your nose, because HE KNOWS how horrendous Raman would be and REALLY put ALL your energy into helping Bass win...and afterwards offer your services to help her fix the city.
But Pratt didn't do that.
Then there's Caruso. Yes, he did events at the end with Bass, but he didn't endorse. And he really should have gone all out campaigning with her in the Valley and on the Westside.
Then there's Traci Park. I love her. She should have run for Mayor, but it's hard to give up your council seat to run for Mayor and risk not having a seat when the music stops. Which is why politicians run for higher office in the middle of their terms, with their old seat to fall back on if they lose. But now she might end up with Mayor Raman and too many progressives on the city council and a progressive city attorney. In case, you don't know, Progressive has become a dirty word, basically the extremist wing of the Democratic Party. I am a proud Moderate Democrat, by the way. Hindsight is 2020, but Park screwed up. She should have run for Mayor. I'm assuming Park isn't on the city council for the Quarter Million Dollar Paycheck...like many of her colleagues.
By the way, we do NOT need to expand the City Council to more than 15 members. That would be ridiculous. We need to break up the City into smaller cities, like the ones that are much better managed that surround us. At minimum, the City should be broken in two, the Valley portion becoming a City, say “North Los Angeles” and the rest becoming a City, say “The City of West Los Angeles” (West, because it's the Western portion of the County of LA). I'm always reminding people that there are 2 LA's, the City and the County. As for the County, the Board of Supervisors SHOULD be expanded beyond only 5 members, which is ridiculously low for such a geographically large heavily populated area. Unfortunately, we're also gonna get a newly created position, nicknamed “LA County Mayor”. That was pushed by Lindsey P (stands for Progressive) Horvath, formerly on the Progressive Majority WeHo City Council, and Horvath will likely win it, G-d help us.
Getting back to important people who let us down, the owner of the LA Times let us down. He should have endorsed Bass, because he KNOWS that Raman is THAT bad.
The WeHo Election
Speaking of WeHo (the City of West Hollywood), the Progressive candidates again formed a slate and AGAIN it's a huge success. The other candidates don't learn. The vote splits a million ways...it's not narrowed down to 2 candidates...and you can win with a small percentage of the voters backing you. 5 council members, last time it was 2 seats up for grabs, this time 3 seats up for grabs, so it's staggered. Last time, Larry Block almost won; he came in 3rd. Basically the Unite Here Union backs a Progressive Slate, so there's lots of money backing it. The only way to counter this is to run an opposing slate, but, stupidly, none is formed. Early in this campaign, I was telling anyone who would listen that there should be a counter slate and it should be Kyle Brazeal, Larry Block, and John Duran. Interestingly, yesterday they were in the 3, 4, and 5 positions, with 2 of the progressives in the top 2 positions...they're still counting ballots. If those 3 candidates had formed a slate, they would likely win. But nobody listens to me.
Full disclosure, I gave money to Brazeal and Block, not Duran. Duran ran for County Supervisor when I ran, and he did VERY well.
The LA City Attorney Race
Speaking of giving money, I gave money to City Attorney candidate John McKinney. They just did not run a good campaign. And, more importantly, the Police Union did not run a good campaign...I'm guessing they were too busy worried about Raman becoming Mayor. McKinney was a great candidate...what a wasted opportunity. If you're (the Police Union) gonna abandon the current MODERATE City Attorney and back a new MODERATE City Attorney, at least have the decency to follow through and make sure we don't end up with a dangerous Progressive City Attorney, a la George Gascon. My recollection (in the general election) is that I saw a lot of attacks on McKinney and did not see attacks on Roy...very bad. I suggested that McKinney NEEDED the support of the current City Attorney...he would automatically win with that based on Primary percentages...the Current City Attorney had a lot of support, even though she lost her seat. If she was a mensch, she would have set aside her hurt feelings and dislike for the police union that abandoned her, and she would have done right by the city and endorsed and campaigned for McKinney. And she would have benefited from that just like Pratt would have benefited from really helping Bass win.
The McKinney campaign should have made that endorsement priority one.
Also, I suggested that McKinney needs to campaign with Bass, just like the Progressive candidates were helping each other.
LA City Controller Mejia Angers Me...Again
Speaking of Progressive candidates helping each other, Mejia was out there campaigning for Raman and Roy after securing reelection in the Primary. That angered me. I voted for Mejia, even though I've (figuratively) ripped him a new one on Citywatch for betraying City shelter dogs and cats. He was running against a corporate guy backed by 10M of his mom's money...seriously. And that's the joke of independent expenditures not coordinating with the candidates they back...as if that guy doesn't talk to his own mother about the 10M she's spending backing him. Anyway, Mejia has to figure that, based on the Primary Percentages, A LOT of his supporters were Bass and Pratt voters. So, what a Betrayal (again) to use the clout we helped him win to support candidates we can't stand. Now, the Roy support is A-ok by me. Reason? She campaigned for him in the Primary when he was being horribly attacked and, so, he's just returning the favor. But I do not recall Raman campaigning for Mejia in that mudslinging race. Did she even endorse him in that race? Comment below if you know...
Raman only got ONE THIRD of the vote in her own council district in the Primary, according to the Times. Her own constituents don't like her! Doing that poorly in your own council district, which should be your base of support, how the heck is she winning the Mayoral race in the General? After that stat came out, there should have been an effort to Recall Raman (make her lose her council seat), if only to weaken her effort to become Mayor (and at minimum severely distract her). How that didn't happen, I don't know. Again, nobody listens to me. When former CD5 Council Member Jack Weiss ran for City Attorney, he had just survived a Recall effort. I went door to door badmouthing him in my district. The damage done by that Recall effort ensured his defeat when he ran for City Attorney.
Raman only gets One Third Support in her CD in the Primary and nobody (like a Bass supporter) launches a Recall effort? Crazy stupid. It should have been launched by the prosecutor who ran against her when she got reelected.
Karmic Justice for Bass?
Speaking of that win by Raman to get reelected, Bass campaigned for Raman, filming ads for her! And Raman, sensing an opportunity after the Times really went after Bass, stabbed her in the back by entering the Mayoral race at the last minute...after endorsing Bass for reelection.
One could argue that it's karmic justice for Bass betraying Angelenos by helping an unpopular Raman win reelection against a strong opponent. It was already known that Raman was an extremist, while Bass was a moderate.
What else was karmic justice? The Bike Lobby's Rich Backers paying for ads attacking Bass in this Mayor's race. Streets for All pushed Measure HLA, and its victory made them a player. They had a few rich guys that funded that campaign. Some of them were bikers? Some of them were developers that wanted automatic upzoning created by new Bus Lanes?
The Times wrote a story about one of these guys. He lives in another state.
Anyway, on Measure HLA, Bass should have told the public to vote No. Instead, she kept her mouth shut, which is why it passed. The voters were misled about what it would do.
Ask Paul Koretz, the problem with the Bike Lobby is that if you don't agree with them on everything, they turn against you. And the Bike Lobby had grand plans on converting a short “freeway to nowhere” on the westside into a bike utopia. Bass initially supported and then reversed herself after local opposition.
How ironic that the Bike Lobby would go hardcore for Raman vs Bass after Bass essentially helped HLA pass.
That's the problem with Bass. She doesn't have the courage to say NO to bad ideas, and those bad ideas end up dragging the city...and her...down, like an anchor around her neck.
Katy Yaroslavsky's Fingerprints All Over This Ballot
Katy's fingerprints were all over this ballot...if you know where to look.
We just spoke about about Bass not being able to say NO to bad ideas that destroy the city, like advancing the Downtown Convention Center Redo when the City is Broke. Or Measure HLA making Traffic worse while costing a fortune. Or raises for almost all City workers. One could argue the Olympics, but that's really Garcetti's baby. Speaking of Garcetti, he created the homeless mess that is the City of LA. Bass has been trying to clean up HIS mess.
And if you're trying to clean up after Garcetti, don't keep his people...like his Fire Chief. We voted for Change, not a Third Garcetti Term. Bass kept too many of Garcetti's people...and then she took the blame when they continued being bad at their jobs. Like his Animal people.
Now, let's talk about Measures EE, PRK, and FD. Bass should have advised the public (most of us are too busy with our careers, families, etc to research or know about this stuff) to vote NO on all 3. And this is where I turn to Traci Park's Cheat Sheet, as I call it. She helpfully emailed voting advice, really not advice or endorsements, but an anonymous person's notes from her forum re the election, to technically cover ours and hers legal behinds.
Measure EE is described as a “mixed bag” that includes “reduces council meeting days” and “other unrelated items”. Of course. If Katy wants to meet less than 3 times a week, (and these are public meetings where you and I can come and speak to the council, letting them know what we think), for her Quarter of a Million Dollar Annual Salary, and, if you read the Times a while back, Katy does want to meet less (she probably can't stand listening to us and we embarrass her by disagreeing with her in the process and the press/media is there filming and reporting), how do you go about getting the voters to vote for Katy to work less? You put it on this Big Long Election Ballot wrapped up with several other items, so it doesn't look like what it's really about and so that that does not get reported on and slips through the cracks, under the radar. The reality of council member complaints about long council meetings, and they always make it about gadflies cussing, is that the gadflies get VERY LITTLE time to speak and the council members WASTE A LOT of time grandstanding, campaigning, and doing long award presentations (campaigning) on Fridays. The council members are the ones that make the meetings ridiculously long, not us. Imagine Raman giving long speeches, repeatedly, that everyone is forced to listen to, or a council member bringing in a whole football team and the cheerleaders from a high school in their district to get awards...that really happened, I wrote about it (with pictures), because I had to sit through it. I believe that council member had the audacity to complain about too many long meetings too, just like poor Katy. Every Friday meeting, probably most of it is spent by council members campaigning by giving out awards to anybody they can think of in long presentations. That should NOT be part of every Friday meeting! If you're doing that, don't complain!
As you can imagine, the council gives US very LITTLE time to speak...while looking at a big stopwatch. So little time, that I've often thought that it should be challenged in court by the ACLU (or the late Eric Preven) for violating the Brown Act.
Measure PRK is Ballot Box Budgeting, which is notoriously something you shouldn't do. We've done it before with Libraries, Measure L, guaranteeing a particular department a huge budget by writing it into the City Charter. Which ties the hands of the council and mayor when there's a financial crisis...which is all the time...by not being able to cut that department's huge budget. You're basically putting that department in front of cops and animals killed at the city shelters. The public doesn't understand that. Which is why you need the Mayor to say “This is BAD” and explain why. Ironically, Katy is the head of the City's Budget committee and she pushed an irresponsible increase in the parks budget through Ballot Box Budgeting, a horrible practice, kinda like Unfunded Mandates. When the Times wrote about it, Katy didn't say where the money would come from, since the city is broke, or why they would push this forward in a broke city, or what departments they're gonna cut to give more guaranteed money to parks, like cutting police even lower (police numbers are already the lowest they've been in many years) or killing more animals at the city animal shelters, like kittens and dogs.
Yes, we'd all love to give more money to Libraries and Parks, but that's not the point. These are supposed to be responsible adults, not children impulsively reaching for their favorite candy at the checkout line. Where are you gonna get the money? Are you gonna raise property taxes? Are you gonna raise the sales tax? Are you gonna fire cops and kill more kittens?
Has Katy ever met a tax or fee increase she didn't like while she's been on the City Clowncil?
Traci Park's cheat sheet describes Measure PRK as “Mandates doubling rec/parks budget over 10 years with no new revenue source”. The ONLY department that should get this treatment is (and feel free to steal my idea, you opportunistic career politicians) the Animal Services Department because it is literally the lowest budgeting priority each year, the animals are suffering with insufficient space and staffing and care, and the animals are being killed, and the voters (aka us) are animal lovers and we have pets...this is NOT ok. There should be a Measure A (for Animal(s)), because the department's budget has been repeatedly cut and it is miniscule compared to other departments, like the city libraries. The librarians have a union, the helpless animals don't, nor do they have lobbyists.
Regarding Measure PRK, which is passing since Bass didn't tell the public to vote No and explain the consequences of its passage, Traci Park's cheat sheet also says “Concern: Funds would be pulled from LAPD...”, which is down to 8500 officers from 10,000 plus under Villaraigosa. Understand that the next time you're waiting TWO HOURS for the police to show up in this horribly mismanaged city.
Interesting thing: The Times article about PRK mentioned that Katy pushed it forward, but the ballot summary does NOT have her name, although it does have other council member names. She's already distancing herself from this HORRIBLE BUDGET BUSTER that she pushed forward. Slick.
Regarding Measure FD (which Katy is not involved in as far as I know), I disagree with Traci Park, but she's in a tough spot. Her council district includes the Palisades and she's become very close to the city's Fire Department. She can't oppose their sales tax increase, although the Police Union did! Why? Probably because they saw it as a way for the Fire Department to ensure they get their raises while everybody else gets cut..and how many more sales tax increases will the public be willing to vote for? A sales tax increase for COPS makes sense, not for the Fire Department. I love the Firefighters, but lack of money was not the problem in that Once in a Century Fire. The Times blamed the empty reservoir, the old fire not being properly put out, the prior shift not being kept over in dangerous weather by the fire chief, lack of prepositioning of firefighting assets, etc, etc. I would add possibly not shutting off the electricity during the fire made it worse. The problem was not a lack of money and we should not staff for a Once in a Century Fire 24/7 52 weeks a year...that's crazy. And a sales tax increase hurts the poorest people. It should have been a property tax increase, particularly if you choose to live in a fire-prone area, just like you should pay more for fire insurance if you live in a fire-prone area.
Shame on the Unions and Politicians that Opposed Prop 40
I get the Google guy doesn't want to pay more taxes and spent a fortune to mislead the public, but politicians and unions using fear to manipulate the public is absolutely shameful. These are 200 Billionaires that have benefited from Federal Tax Cuts by both Bush Jr and Trump. They can easily afford to pay this, and this money is for health care for the poor. If they don't pay for it, you and me will, either directly or indirectly. And if a few want to leave, who cares...they're being replaced as we speak by young AI Billionaires. CA is special. People want to live here for the weather and other reasons. The whole point of being a Billionaire is that you can afford to buy the most expensive house, car, boat, etc. So you can also afford to live in the most expensive State. I only believe a few would leave. I'm not gonna cry for Billionaires. And they put 41 and 42 on the ballot just in case 40 passes, to invalidate it. Luckily, Bernie Sanders is telling everyone to vote NO on 41 and 42. The current and next governors should be ashamed of themselves. And the Big Unions that selfishly opposed Prop 40...they should be ashamed of themselves.
