CicLAvia celebrates its 15th year and 63rd open streets event with CicLAvia—Heart of LA, a 7.15-mile car-free route connecting MacArthur Park, Historic Downtown, Chinatown, Little Tokyo, the Arts District, East LA, the 6th Street Viaduct, and Mariachi Plaza.
For one day only, Angelenos of all ages and abilities are invited to walk, jog, bike, skate, or simply enjoy the city as a massive “pop-up” park. Always free and open to the public, CicLAvia transforms streets into vibrant community spaces, inspiring healthier, greener, and more connected neighborhoods.
Four activity hubs along the route—MacArthur Park, Chinatown, Little Tokyo, and Mariachi Plaza—offer family-friendly programs, rest areas, water stations, bike repair, and free pedicab rides. Special highlights this year include a Caltrans 15-year anniversary exhibit at the Norma Dorsey Museum, and a Natural History Museum “LA on Wheels” showcase.
“Returning each October to where CicLAvia started in Los Angeles is always nostalgic but there’s also always something new along the route to explore, see, taste, enjoy,” says CicLAvia Executive Director Romel Pascual.
