City of Hawthorne to Host Annual Spring Event, Earth Day and Service Provider Fair
The City of Hawthorne’s Community Services and Public Works departments invite residents to the annual Spring Event, Earth Day and Service Provider Fair on Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hawthorne Memorial Park, 3901 W. El Segundo Blvd.
This family-friendly event will feature egg hunts, carnival games, inflatables, raffles, paper shredding, e-waste collection and more. Paper shredding and e-waste pickup will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and children of all ages can participate in the egg hunts and enjoy the variety of activities offered throughout the day.
“This spring event offers a great mix of fun activities and local waste disposal resources,” said Community Services Deputy Director Kywanna Bowie. “Drop off old electronics and unwanted paper products, and have some fun while you’re at it!”
The event is rain or shine and is free to the public. Community members interested in volunteering or seeking more information can call (310) 349-1640 or visit the Hawthorne Memorial Center.
Attendees should note that photography and videography will take place during the event and may be used by City staff for promotional purposes.
