After fourteen years of grass roots organizing, volunteering for the city of Los Angeles and the Democratic Party, and representing the LGBT, Latino, and Immigrant communities, I’ve decided it’s time to serve in a new role.
As many of you know, I came to Los Angeles from Mexico City in 1992 to study film at the University of Southern California. Even though it was not my first time in this city, I immediately fell in love with L.A. In 2000 I bought a home in Larchmont Village and have lived in Council District 4 ever since.
I will be your most effective advocate for this simple reason: I’m the only community-based candidate with the background and skills necessary to improve the quality of life in the District. I have the experience and leadership to build broad coalitions to help solve the big problems that our District faces. I’m the face of the District; I’m one of you!
