City Council Agenda
The recommendations of Mickey Kantor’s LA 2020 Commission are finally on the City Council’s agenda for Tuesday, January 20.
While a number of recommendations are being referred to selected committees for review and report backs to the City Council, why has Herb Wesson not considered the Commission’s recommendations regarding the establishment of an Office of Transparency and Accountability to oversee the City’s budget and finances, the formation of Committee on Retirement Security to make recommendations on how to achieve equilibrium on retirement costs by 2020, and the establishment of Los Angeles Utility Rate Commission to set rates and limit the ability to use DWP as an ATM?
