Did Gloria Gray Use West Basin Muni Water Funds For Her Assembly Campaign?

INSIDE INGLEWOOD-Gloria Gray may have illegally used her booth at a recent Earth Day event in Inglewood to promote her campaign for the 62nd Assembly. The event took place on Saturday, April 20 on the south lawn of Inglewood City Hall. The California State Assembly Primary elections for 2014 will take place on June 3.

The West Basin Municipal Water District had a booth at the event. On the table was a large portrait of Gray alongside stacks of full-color circulars advertising a new program. On the front and other pages of the circular was a picture of Gray along with her name. Gray was also at the booth in person for much of the day.

It is presumed that West basin paid to have the booth staffed as well as the resources to conceive, produce and deliver the flyers. It is unknown if West Basin or Gloria Gray paid for the large portrait on the table.

In 2013, however, West Basin did not have a booth at the event.

Emails to Gray at both West Basin and her campaign e-mail addresses were not returned.
