Not So Fast On CD 12's Parking Perk

LAOBSERVED - Regarding those signs at the Chatsworth Metrolink station marking off a couple of primo parking spots for the local council district staff, spotted last weekend. They are outdated, says Matt Meyerhoff, the communications director for Councilman Mitchell Englander. And never were a perk related to the trains.

LAOBSERVED - Regarding those signs at the Chatsworth Metrolink station marking off a couple of primo parking spots for the local council district staff, spotted last weekend. They are outdated, says Matt Meyerhoff, the communications director for Councilman Mitchell Englander. And never were a perk related to the trains.
According to Meyerhoff, the signs were posted back when Councilman Greig Smith had a satellite field office in the train depot. The council office, like other tenants, received a couple of set-aside parking spots. Shortly after Englander was elected last year, the council district 12 staff moved elsewhere in Chatsworth.
