There’s an election in a few days. Half of LA’s City Council, the Mayor, a couple of educators and Measure S are awaiting your approval … or not. As you consider your vote for next Tuesday, I offer these words of wisdom: Be careful what you vote for. If you’re satisfied with the ‘progress’ your City has made over the past four years, by all means, return the folks responsible for your satisfaction to office. If not, remember that you can’t change the result without changing the cause. If you’re not sure about LA’s ‘progress’ I urge you to read **Joel Kotkin’s** review in Today’s CityWatch. Joel reminds us … LA remains the homeless capital of the country with 45,000 on our streets, in our parks, struggling without housing … 37% of your LA compatriots ‘can’t make economical ends meet’ … out of the top 70 job creating metro areas in the U.S., Los Angeles ranks a mediocre 42nd … affordable housing is nowhere to be found … the City has a $250 million budget deficit … and … if you’re OK with all of that, I recommend you put the same folks back to work at City Hall that are responsible for creating this ‘progress’!
