#  Editor’s Memo: March Comes Early in DC

![](https://mail.citywatchla.com/images/stories/Jan-2017/05z2.png)CITYWATCH TODAY—The Women’s March is set for Saturday in DC. Women march but will be speaking for many … of both genders.

Planners are predicting a bigger crowd for the March than for the inauguration the day before. The Washington Post and NBC both confirmed that more than 1,200 requests have been made for RFK parking permits for the March. Fewer than 200 have been requested for the swearing in.

Supportive Women’s Marches will happen in hundreds of cities around the country … including downtown Los Angeles. CityWatch writers will be marching in DC and LA and will keep us posted … words, sound and pix … from both DC and LA events starting Thursday. We’ll remind you in the CityWatch Briefing e-blast. Dianne Lawrence reports from DC. Jennifer Caldwell from LA.
