# Big Lie #2: Washington Big Wigs Could Not Foresee the Attempted Overthrow of the US Government

**ONE MAN’S OPINION**-Big Lie #1 is that Donald Trump won the November 2020 election in a landslide and his grand victory was being stolen.

Anyone who does not know that claim is a Big Lie labors under the doctrine of Credo Quia Absurdum, “I believe it because it is absurd.” America has become a nation where lies have replaced money as the mother’s milk of politics.” (Jesse Marvin Unruh 1966)

For the GOP, the Big Lie #2 takes a more sinister form, “Don’t believe your eyes; there was no insurrection.” There is its junior sister, “Antifa did it.”

Perhaps, the GOP needed Marlon Brando to play the Trump role so they could realize that among other atrocities, Trump put out a hit on Vice President Pence and then launched a violent overthrow of the US government, telling his thugs “I will be there.” Of course, the GOP does not see the thugs who broke into the Senate chamber with Zip Tie handcuffs to capture the Vice President and then hang him for treason. The GOP perpetuates Trumpism with “Do not believe your eyes or witnesses who heard the insurrectionists hunting for Mike Pence in order to ‘hang him from a tree on the Capitol grounds.’”

The GOP’s threats have expanded against the American public. If the Dems should impeach Trump for inciting a mob to violently overthrow the US government (18 USC §§ 2384, 2385), Americans will experience worse. The GOP threat, however, is no lie!

How Lies Became the Basis of American Life

On February 26, 2017, CityWatch explained that Donald Trump was mentally ill, and thereafter, CityWatch published numerous articles that Trump was seriously mentally ill. I assigned the label of “narcissistic Histrionic Personality disorder with paranoid features,” but the fix was already in by both the Dems and the GOP. They countered with the Goldwater Rule which forbids the diagnosing of a President as mentally ill. On October 9, 2017, I explained why the Goldwater Rule should be retired in “Cognitive Deficit? Time for Americans to Read up on the [DSM-5.” ](http://bit.ly/2kAxskm)

To admit that Trump was mentally ill would require some action to be taken not only against Trump but also against the way America operates. As Black Lives Matter and Colin Kaepernick have warned us, America operates on systemic predatory abuse with Blacks being its prime target. Had the nation faced Trump’s mental illness with his daily barrage of non-stop lies, it would have had to face its own systemic predatory abuse based upon lies. We allow Blacks to be murdered on the pretext that the police mistook a cell phone for a gun. The cops never mistake a gun for a cell phone. Why are cell phones held by White thugs not mistaken for guns? There were hundreds if not thousands of cell phone at the insurrection being held by White men, some of whom were also carrying Zip Tie handcuffs. Yet, no one mistook their cell phones for guns. Were the cops blind to the Zip Tie handcuffs?

The Big Lie Is Inherent to America

In the Dangers of Dichotomy: [The Saved vs. The Damned](http://bit.ly/2yxk1IT) (CityWatch June 21, 2018), I explained, “The most dangerous notion in Western Civilization is the idea that one religion or one people has an exclusive lock on The Truth.” After a nation becomes divided along group lines, be it Protestant vs Catholic, Whites v Blacks, or Dem v GOP, truth becomes the enemy. When allegiance to the group is paramount, there is no room for objective facts. That is one purpose of Pelosi’s racist Identity Politics. Whatever the leader says becomes the Truth to be mindlessly followed.

On January 22, 2017, Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway clearly stated the situation when she termed Trump’s lies about the size of his inaugural crowd as Alternative Facts. The irony is that America has operated on the basis of Alternative Facts for decades. Blacks and Mexicans had been railroaded into prison and put to death on the basis of Alternative Facts. The Los Angeles District Attorney Office attempted to frame a guilty man, OJ Simpson, by use of Alternative Facts Although the use of Alternative Facts left the jury no choice but to acquit OJ, virtually no white person complained about the DA’s non-stop lies. Finally, in 2019 Black Lives Matter had a subsequent but no less corrupt Los Angeles DA, Jackie Lacey, removed from office –twenty-four more years of judicial lies.

On August 12, 2015, California protected judges who lie, asserting under Cal Const Art VI Sec 10 the right of judges to exclude Jews and alter evidence (case # S227630). State Bar Judge Yvette Roland likewise adopts material lies and she highlights the fact that the rule of law does not exist in California by her asserting “I am here now.” When a judge justifies her disregard of law by saying. “I am here now,” we realize why so many Blacks, Hispanics, and poor people are railroaded. Personal bigotry and lies have replaced the rule of law. There is no substantive difference in Donald Trump and Judge Roland when it comes to the rule of law– Law = zero, whoever is in power = 100%

Social Media Did Not Create Alternate Facts

Another lie perpetuated by both Dems and GOP to avoid their taking responsibility for the polarization is blaming social media. Since America has two major groups vying for power, we are polarized by opposing lies. The Dems have no more commitment to objective truth than the GOP. Let’s remember that the big city machines whose courts are most aggressive in the use of lies, bigotry and abuse are Democrat cities. The fact that the lies are promoted on social media ignores the fact that We The People favor lies over facts because we favor allegiance to some group over reality. Hearst did not need Facebook to launch the Spanish Civil War with “Remember the Maine.” Hitler did not need Twitter to launch his takeover of the German government. Social Media spreads lies faster; it does not create them.

Although social media showed the putsch’s being organized and the world has seen Trump, Donny Jr and Rudy Giuliani launch the attack itself, both Dems and GOP promote the Big Lie #2 that it was unforeseen. Worse yet, more people believe Big Lie #2 than believed Big Lie #1.
