#  Riddle Me This: What Does Bass On A Plate And Bass In City Hall Have In Common?

AND ANOTHER THING –

**The Answer to the Riddle: Neither one can make Los Angeles better!**

\--and spare me that I'm being mean--someone has to say it. How much longer do the tax paying residents of this city have to suffer?--we have had 13 years of the Less family in City Hall---9 years of Eric the Use Less--and if he was a Roads Scholar, it must have been the 405 and now we have had 4 years of Karen the Clue Less. Isn't it time for capable and effective leadership in City Hall? In the NYC Mayoral election Mandami said that "what he lacks in experience he makes up for in integrity". Does anyone other than the Progressives (which is a better insurance company than a political philosophy) think that makes any sense? Look at the practical reality of that statement as it relates to the Palisades....did Karen know the reservoir was being emptied? if not why? if she did, did she ask if the cover was ordered? or how for how long it would be empty? It sat on some bureaucrat's desk for 6 months---integrity does not solve incompetence----she honestly either had no idea the reservoir was being emptied--or if she did, did she ask the right question or decide the correct solution--which is you cannot empty it until new cover is on hand--and the time schedule to empty and replace the cover---so reservoir is out of service for the least amount of time. Integrity does not replace executive skills.

10 Reasons Why Karen should not be reelected Mayor--she should do what is right for the city and not run. As I said before, this is her Al Gore moment to do what's appropriate--she simply does not have the skills for the Office!!

- She has no executive experience--and people around her are more interested in protecting her than doing what's right for the city.
- She is reactive --not proactive---not a leader---she doesn't know what she should know.
- 70,000 people are living on the streets of LA---NYC is proud of the new $3B office building on Park Avenue and NYC is thriving--office buildings there the have lowest vacancy rates in the last 5 years----LA has spent $3B on the homeless and how has that worked out and how has that improved the quality of life in the city?
- The city is broke with no change in economic situation or improvement in sight.
- There is no effective plan to bring business back here--businesses continue to leave downtown.
- No concern for the taxpaying citizens of the city--the exhausted majority. Her only solution is to continue to raise taxes for the citizens who live here.
- Vast majority of the electorate believe she's incapable of doing the job.
- There's no plan for the future to improve the quality of life for LA's weary citizens
- Rebuilding in Palisades still moving at too slow a pace---hurdles belong in the Olympics not for rebuilding and restoring the community.
- Smiles will not make things better here---only effective leadership will. Every picture shows her either smiling or looking like a deer in the headlights--she is totally unsuited for the job.

I was going to write more about Metro--but will save that for a few days from now. Everyone should read the Article in the Daily News from October 26 entitled "The Los Angeles Metro is a failure. Here's how to fix it." The following is a preview of the article which points out Stephanie and her teams of losers in the executive suite---Metro's female version of the 3 Stooges--Stephanie, Nicole and Sharon.

Preview " Los Angeles Metro was recently awarded the Independent Institute's California Golden Fleece Award because it is a dangerous, costly public transportation system.......La Metro stands out as an example of an ill-conceived and poorly run system"--and that's without even counting Stephanie's personal photographer." One more fact---"Another problem is high costs. The system has the HIGHEST COST PER RIDER out of any transit system in the nation".

Does anyone think Metro's political board is even aware of this--and because all they do is occupy space, do they even care? The Mayor has 4 seats--is she even aware of these issues. SHE CAN'T DO THE JOB AND NEEDS TO MOVE ON!!!
