Bipartisan Means Extremism Rules

LOS ANGELES

MY TURN--Governing from the center does not mean Bipartisanship, which is a horrid idea foisted upon Americans by the power mongers in both parties.

Governing from the center means policies which benefit the vast majority of Americans without excluding anyone due to race, creed, color, national origin, etc.  Today, we have to confront a political party which is so extreme that its members can call for the assassination of members of the other party with impunity and who call 9/11 an “inside job,” and now claims that Jewish space lasers started California wildfires, forgetting that Trump’s daughter and grandchildren are Jewish. (Photo above: Marjorie Taylor Greene.)

Bipartisanship Means That the Party Which Is Not in Power Allows its Most Extreme Faction to Call the Shots

When Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Josh Hawley want to perpetuate and worsen the COVID-19 Pandemic which is ravaging both GOP and Dem Americans, McConnell kisses their butts and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy rushes to Mar-a-Lago to resurrect a moribund Donald Trump. Since Bipartisanship requires the GOP party as a whole to endorse any Dem proposal, it hands a veto to the GOP’s most extreme element.   That is not governing from the center.

On the other hand, let’s not ignore the anti-white racism of the Pelosi Dems.  For over a decade, Pelosi’s Identity Politics have been virulently anti-white to the point that it developed the D-word, Deplorables, to dehumanize Whites as a parallel for the N-word for Blacks.  Recently, the Dems clamor for statehood for Washington DC because Wyoming is 92% White and DC is 47.1% Black.  Thus, the Dems racialize an issue which has no race component. The original reasons for a District of Columbia no longer exist. No matter its citizens’ color or ethnicity, DC merits statehouse. Dems, however, turn almost everything into a racist Black-White divide and then hypocritically decry the division which they helped create.

The leaders of both parties, with the surprise exception of President Joe Biden, are narcissistic power mongers who show no love of country and who care naught for prosperity, health or justice. The sole goal of the leadership is the aggrandizement of their personal power and everything else be damned.

Americans Have Lost the Concept of a Centrist Government Where the Welfare of Americans Is Foremost

Now, the GOP leadership supports roving bands of murderous thugs launched by the President of the United States on a search and destroy mission targeting Democrat leaders and his own vice president.  In fact, the GOP leadership has moved to the right of many of the insurrectionists themselves. On September 20, 2020, which was over a month before the November 3rd election, The Proud Boys leader declared.

"I denounce white supremacy. I denounce anti-Semitism. I denounce racism. I denounce fascism. I denounce communism and any other -ism that is prejudiced towards people because of their race, religion, culture, tone of skin.”  Enrique Tarrio, founder of the Proud Boys

Let’s be clear, Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy have not supported these bedrock American values.  Saving American lives during the pandemic and restoring the American economy may be important to Enrique Tarrio, but they are not even on McConnell’s and McCarthy’s bucket lists.  Their only concern is how to regain their personal power in 2022!  Neither has issued a similar denunciation of racism, nor has bottom feeder McCarthy taken Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to task for her anti-Semitism.  (But then, Dems allow Pelosi’s support for anti-Semitism to remain unchecked,)

As matters stand today, January 31, 2021, Enrique Tarrio espouses centrist American values while neither McConnell or McCarthy give a damn about America, the Constitution or the American people.  All that matters to the leadership is their personal power.

McCarthy’s obscene power lust resulted in his placing Rep Greene on the House Education, Labor and Budget committees.  Not only does she support QAnon and the assassination of Dems, she harasses David Hogg survivor of Parkland High School massacre, calls 9/11 an inside job, and believes in Jewish space lasers.  When a political party allows such lunatics to determine its course of action, extremism controls the party.  Assuming that far right-wing GOP voters could primary the GOP centrists, how morally bankrupt are McConnell and McCarthy? They support violent thugs who were spurred on by a mentally disturbed President who tried to overthrow the US government under the delusion that Dems were operatives for an international cabal of Jewish controlled cannibalistic child predators.

President Joe Biden has proposed centrist policies to save as many American lives as possible from the mutating COVID-19 virus and to re-establish our economy, while the sole and only concern of McConnell and McCarthy is how they can regain their personal power in 2022.

Of course, little chuckie schumer thinks the filibuster should remain intact because ending it might upset the GOP.  Ending the filibuster does not prevent the GOP from supporting centrist policies.  The continued existence of the filibuster only means that the likes of McConnell will block centrist policies.
