--- # Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra Celebrates John Coltrane’s 100th Birthday ![](https://mail.citywatchla.com/images/stories/Sept-2026/074q.jpg) Thursday, Sep 17 **Wednesday, September 23, 2026 — 8:00 p.m.** **Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles** The Hollywood Bowl celebrates what would have been jazz legend **John Coltrane’s 100th birthday** with an evening featuring the **Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis**. Grammy-nominated saxophonist **Lakecia Benjamin** opens the program with a special centennial tribute to Coltrane, conducted by **Jonathan Taylor Rush**.
