We want to tell you about some BIG STUFF we have done and/or are doing now with:](https://www.movela.org/lets_do_big_stuff_celebration?e=4373e166ea3069c137765dbfcb06f665&utm_source=movela&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=may102022&n=3)***  **LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis**, a former member of Congress who serves on the Board of Supervisors and the Metro Board: We appreciate her leadership and especially her role in the passage of the Fareless System Initiative, which is making transit free for all LA County Community College and K-12 students. She was able to guide this initiative—an outgrowth of Move LA’s persistence over a decade about the need for a discounted transit pass program for community college students—to a win. In the words of Metro CEO Stephanie Wiggins: “Supervisor Solis has been a champion of public transportation, equity, and inclusion throughout her career."  **Ron Miller**, now retired but previously Executive Secretary of the Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council: Ron made it possible for us to work closely with this powerful union of unions, and we appreciate him for his role on Move LA’s Leadership Board as an Executive Committee member. Ron worked with us on the passage of Measure M in 2016, which followed on the heels of Measure R in 2008—together these two ballot measures are providing $120 billion dollars over four decades for the build-out of LA’s transit system.  **Joan** **Ling:** Joan began working with Denny Zane on building more affordable housing when he was Mayor of Santa Monica and she was Executive Director of the Community Corporation of Santa Monica. She is experienced in real estate financial analysis, and state and local land use and housing policy, legislation and regulation, and cares deeply about affordable housing production and preservation. She also served on the Community Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles (CRA/LA) Board of Commissioners, responsible for funding affordable housing among other things. She also serves on our Executive Board.  **Chanell Fletcher**, Deputy Executive Officer of Environmental Justice for the California Air Resources Board: We began working with Chanell when she was at ClimatePlan, a diverse statewide coalition of organizations working at the nexus of land use and climate change with the goal of creating more sustainable and equitable development. She soon ascended to the role of Executive Director at ClimatePlan—and Move LA served on her board. Chanell was appointed to this very important job at CARB nearly a year ago.  **Alan Greenlee,** Executive Director of the Southern California Association of Non Profit Housing (SCANPH): Alan and SCANPH facilitate the development of affordable housing across Southern California. Nonprofit developers are SCANPH’s core constituents, providing below-market-rate homes for low-to-extremely-low income community members and for those who are experiencing homelessness.
