> LOS ANGELES—The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) will join a diverse group of labor and immigrants rights advocates for a press conference encouraging immigrant workers and their families to continue getting COVID-19 vaccinations, as part of the state’s ongoing work to increase immunity in communities hardest hit by the pandemic and reopen by June 15.

> The event will take place at the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, in partnership with St. John’s Well Child and Family Center, where 360 first-dose vaccinations are being allocated to immigrant workers. Reaching high vaccination rates among immigrant communities of all ethnicities is needed to help keep essential workers safe on the job and to begin reopening more parts of the economy.
