> Coro was founded to train young veterans in the leadership skills necessary to assure that our democratic system of government could more effectively meet the needs of its citizens. In 1957—60 years ago—the program was established in Southern California. This year, we celebrate 60 years of developing Southern California's leadership infrastructure. Coro continues to prepare individuals from diverse backgrounds to be leaders through experiential, collaborative learning across sectors and traditional boundaries to tackle complex social, economic, and political challenges.
