This public infrastructure investment will be a major economic driver for Downtown Los Angeles. It will create more than 15,000 jobs, add $652 million in General Fund tax revenue over 30 years and draw in more than $150 million in additional visitor spending each year. Additional work hours will be added as required/necessary. In addition, there will be work taking place in the surrounding area on December 6 and 7, 2025 to restripe area streets for detour. This work area is Pico Boulevard, between Albany Street and Grand Avenue. **WORK DURING CLOSURE** Work in this area will include demolition, underground utilities, excavation, foundations and pile placement, structural steel erections, sidewalk and roadwork improvements, traffic controls, backfilling, asphalt paving, striping of roadways and intersections and landscaping. **FUTURE OF PICO BOULEVARD** This closure is necessary to construct above Pico Boulevard and connect the West Hall with the South Hall.
